HYPNOSIS

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness. Although it is derived from the Greek word, ‘sleep,’ it is actually somewhere in between sleep and awake. With hypnosis, there is an intent or a focus to alter a specific behavior or achieve a goal.

Is hypnosis safe?

Yes, hypnosis is very safe and effective. In fact, each one of us experiences altered states of consciousness throughout the day. For example, when watching a movie the experience of ‘getting lost’ in the movie is an altered state of consciousness.

What will my hypnosis experience be like?

Hypnosis is a very relaxing experience. You will be given suggestions that will allow your body and mind to relax and become receptive to the goals that we will discuss prior to the hypnosis. The client remains in control at all times and you will likely remember and be able to recall your experience.

What can hypnosis help with?

Hypnotherapy can help with (but isn’t limited to): Fear/phobias, stress, anxiety, quitting smoking, weight loss, pregnancy and childbirth, insomnia, pain management, athletic performance, pediatric concerns, concentration/test taking, fear, confidence, stress, sleeping troubles, and more.

How many Sessions will I need?

Truly this can be varied dependent on certain factors such as how receptive the individual is as well as the goal that we are addressing.  I have worked with clients who have lost 55lbs, quit smoking after a 40 year habit, and reached countless other goals in only a single session.

However, although hypnosis is often accelerated, these results are not typical and generally more sessions are needed for most individuals. Research shows that when compared to other forms of therapy, hypnosis has a higher success rate and often fewer sessions are needed for lasting results.

My standard recommendation depending on circumstances may be to begin with 3-6 sessions.

Does the hypnotherapist have control over my mind?

No, not at all. All hypnosis is self hypnosis. If a hypnotherapist were to suggest something to a client that is against said client’s moral values, wants, or needs, then the suggestion would have no power. Same goes if a client comes in for an issue like to quit smoking, and if that client doesn’t really want to quit smoking, then the outcome wouldn’t be achieved.

What if I don’t come out of hypnosis?

You will. There is no way to get ‘stuck’ in hypnosis. You will gently return to awareness after your session, likely feeling very relaxed and peaceful!

What will I recall after the session?

It is likely that you be able to recall the session. However, in the event that you aren’t able to recall everything clearly, rest assured, I can fill in the blanks and the results will be just as effective!

What do you do as a life coach?

 

As a trained and skilled life coach, I help to facilitate the session by using powerful questioning to enhance clarity surrounding the issue at hand.

Throughout our sessions you will receive insight and learn to understand and work with your behaviors, thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

I offer guidance, tools, support, and mindset techniques and trainings that provide you with solutions to lasting change- assuming you apply them!

Although I have the experience (I have been practicing for 9 years now) and the training to support my expertise, it truly is about so much more.

GENERAL QUESTIONS & POLICIES:

What is your cancellation policy?

I operate on an appointment basis and can often have a wait list for private sessions. To ensure I am able to conduct sessions with my current clients as well as open up session times for incoming clients, I require a 24 hr cancellation notice.

All sessions are pre-paid in advance and no show sessions or sessions without adequate cancellation times will be subject to session forfeiture and/or a cancellation fee. Please email for additional policy information or questions.

What type of payments do you accept?

I accept debit and credit cards, checks, money orders, cash, and may be able to accept HSA/FSA card payments. Sessions are pre-paid via invoice unless prior arrangements have been made.

Do you offer any sort of payment plans?

I do! I offer payment plans on all private hypnotherapy session packages and VIP programs!

How can I schedule an appointment?
